Around Minoh Park: Waterfalls, Trails and Temples in One Walk
The area centered on Minoh Park brings together the Meiji no Mori Minoh Quasi-National Park (home to Minoh Falls), Ryuanji Temple, the Minoh Park Insect Museum, and a section of the Tokai Nature Trail. Since the path to the falls doubles as part of this long-distance trail, it's possible to combine a temple visit, a walk through the woods, and a stop at the insect museum in a single outing.
Getting around here mainly means walking, so comfortable shoes and a flexible schedule are worth planning for. Trail conditions and crowd levels can shift with the seasons, especially during autumn foliage, so it's a good idea to check official updates beforehand.
Toshiromi District and Katsuoji: Farms and Faith in the Hills
In the northern part of the city, the Toshiromi district holds two farms, Kawanishien and Nakaseien, offering a quieter, rural atmosphere quite unlike the Minoh Park area. A car is essentially needed to reach this area, so it makes more sense to treat it as a separate outing rather than squeezing it into the same day as the park.
